Description:
Entrepreneur Forum: HTML 5
The debate of whether to develop for the web or to build a custom app for a platform has raged since mobile data first emerged in the late 90s. The iPhone swung the pendulum has swung far over in favor of dedicated apps and HTML5 is pulling the pendulum back the other way. We may soon see the resurgence of browser-based apps that are easier to build, manage, and more cross-platform.
Join us to discuss:
•What is the sweet spot for browser-based apps, which apps will stick to the OS?
•How will HTML5 apps be monetized, and who will control the distribution?
•How will marketing and discoverability be affected by a shift back to the browser?
•Will there be the usual plug-ins and extensions required?
•Where will developers choose to spend their time?
•And will consumers have a preference?
This meeting is free to members or $50 for non-members.
