Overview:
AppsLib offers a unique library of applications for large screen Android devices, where users can search, download and enjoy apps specifically suited to their device. With a variety of new Android-based devices on the horizon, AppsLib has been designed to supplement the Android marketplace with an offering that specifically caters for the larger screen device.
AppsLib works with Android developers to post test and qualify their new free or paid-for applications for Android devices and has already qualified more than 2,000 free apps. Posting an application is free of charge for developers and applications currently hosted in Marketplace are also compatible with the AppsLib platform.
AppsLib caters for devices from a variety of Android manufacturers. The latest manufacturers to join the AppsLib community include Shuttle, Yifang, JWD, Aïgo, Daza and Ramos.
AppsLib is already supported across the full breadth of the ARCHOS tablet range, including the recently announced large-screen Android-based tablets, the ARCHOS 7 and the ARCHOS 8 Home Tablets.
AppsLib is currently looking to locate and process new applications for hosting on ARCHOS’ next generation of Internet Tablets, soon be announced. The five new ARCHOS Android Tablets will feature touchscreens ranging from 2.8’’ to 10’’ in width with resolutions including QVGA (240 x 320) with LDPI density, FWVGA (854x480) with HDPI density, WVGA (800x480) with MDPI density and up to the maximum WSVGA (1024x600) with MDPI density.
